This Community is Filled with Charm
Chesterfield Hills, sometimes known as Chesterfield, is a historic neighborhood in East Lansing. While its development began in the early 20th century, its history can be traced all the way back to 1836, when the original parcel of land that became the subdivision was owned by a local resident.
In 1916, the new owners of the land planned a subdivision called "Chesterfield Hills No. 1," which would have 350 maple trees, street lights, sidewalks, and a community park. Houses were constructed in a variety of styles, which gives Chesterfield Hills the charm it has today.
Chesterfield Hills is bounded by Grand River Avenue to the north, the Delta Triangle to the east, Michigan Avenue to the south, and Highland Avenue to the west. Because of this neighborhood's proximity to Downtown East Lansing, Michigan State University, and other points of interest, Chesterfield Hills is a sought-after place to live in the East Lansing area.
